A "Hand of Fatima" door knocker, also known as a Hamsa, is a palm-shaped amulet believed to protect against the evil eye, representing a Moorish legacy. This hand symbol is also commonly found in Spain. During my walks in Avila, I noticed many doors featuring the symbol, mostly in bronze, with some made of carved wood.
